

The Moeginomura museum, Hall of Halls, contains and showcases antique Music Box as well as Automatic Musical Instruments. On the lower level of the museum is a collection of traditional Japanese tablewares. Some of the exhibited pieces are temporary while others are permanent. The tableware exhibition changes every six months.
Hall of Halls offers its visitors the chance to listen to the Music Boxes and Automatic Musical Instruments. It also holds and sponsors other activities.
Before the record player and redio became common household items in the early 20th century, people enjoyed music through the means of Music Boxes and Automatic Musical Instruments. By listening to them today, we can appreciate what the people of that age enjoyed and imagine the feelings of surprise and amazement they must have experienced.
The traditional Japanese tableware exhibition gives visitors and idea of how important beauty was to their Japanese ancestors. It also conveys a message to those living in modern society that they should aspire to lead simple but rich lives.
