* Music Boxes and Automatic Musical Instruments
There are about 250 pieces in this collection, dating from the
end of the 19th Century to the beginning of the 20th. Included
in the collection are antique music boxes, mechanical organs,
mechanical pianos, mechanical violins and automatons. Seventy
of them are on display at one time. During the museum's operating
hours, explanations and demonstrations of the exhibited pieces
are given on a regular basis. (See above schedule)
* Traditional Japaneses Tableware
This collection includes 30,000 pieces dating from the Azuchi
Momoyama Period(1576-1600) to the beginning of the Showa Period(1926-1989).
The main part of the collection is made up of tableware from the
end of the Edo Period(1603-1867). From chinaware and ceramics
to glassware, ironware and lacquerware, this collection exposes
visitors to a wide variety of pieses form many regions in Japan
and time periods covering hundreds of years. The theme of the
exhibition chages twice a year. Approximately 300 pieces are shown
at one time.

* Antique Music Box Concert (reservations are necessary)
Twice a week the musem curator showcases Music Boxes and Automatic
Musical I nstruments not played during regular hours. Because
space is limited to 50 people, reservations may be made starting
one month prior to the concert. (Tel:81-551-48-3535)

Moeginomura museum Hall of Halls provides maintenance and overhauls
of private individual's Music Boxes and Automatic Musical Instrument.
We offer help with the mechanical adjustments, cleaning and tuning
of boxes/instruments as well as the restoration of their cases.
Please call for details regarding the above as well as the amount
of time and fees for such services. On-site maintenance is also
available. Hall of Halls makes and sells discs for disc music
boxes, music rolls for machanical pianos, music books for mechanical
organs, etc. For further advice and informations about Automatic
